The Quilt Trail meanders thru the back roads and small towns in the Upper Cumberland Region. The trail crosses an area rich with natural scenic beauty and lots of Tennessee history. It will take you into the country side to see quilt patterns on old historic barns owned by local farm families, into towns were gorgeous quilt squares are painted on businesses and historic buildings.

The quilt blocks are often replicas of treasured family heirlooms. In painting and displaying those patterns we are honoring local quilters and preserve the art and heritage of Quilting in the Upper Cumberland.

Be careful and cautious when driving our Quilt Trail. The Trail is located on public county roads and appropriate safety measures should be taken when stopping. Most sites are located on Private Property. Please view the sites from the Public Road except where indicated by invitation only.
